Contributions

Designed game and all gameplay modes

  • Spinning globe mechanic, geographical boarders as puzzle pieces.

  • 'Guess Who' detective game, flying and dodging, great race, matching flags and landmarks.

  • Rewards and game progression.

  • Research, integration and natural flow of educational content to meet VIC government standards.

Wrote narrative and dialogue

  • Premise, ending and all dialogue.

​

Producer for the team

  • Created and managed the development tasks and goals across all game team departments.

  • Mediated between development teams for solutions to roadblocks on the project.

  • Represented and communicated needs of the whole company (Cultural Infusion) and its CEO to the games team, and helped incorporate Joko's World as a part of the company's business ecosystem.

  • Oversaw cohesion of vision and quality for all areas (art, programming, music, marketing). Frequently staff were located in different countries with different cultural and language backgrounds.

  • Maintained morale and momentum in the team (very important!).

  • Researched and completed all funding applications.

  • Represented the game at events through; networking, presentations, liaising and being a contact point with existing and potential partners.

User Testing

  • Prepared vertical slices of the game, orgainised students and teachers, conducted testing and focus groups, reported results, actioned them into tasks based on feedback.

Major Challenges:

  • Using inflexible Unity Asset Store globe asset as foundation of project.

  • Expanding very basic on core mechanic.

​

Major Success:

  • From scratch our team created one of the best educational games of 2018.
